Men portrayed as stupid and women always right in commercials? Where were you in 1952, buddy, where this was already going on for 10 years?

All this commercial proves is that Steve is a fucking pussy.
And by far the most offensive aspect of this commercial is the digitized box front. What's with that anyway?
|
|
spikestoyiu - 2009-02-08 I wonder if that's also why the aspect ratio is so fucked up.
THANKS FOR KNOWING SO MUCH ABOUT THIS SHITTY COMMERCIAL.

Women tend to be the ones who buy groceries, it's not rocket science here gentlemen

I was going to 3 star this until Bill slid in with the "a husband" remark. Also, The look on the guys face when his masculinity is belittled sealed the deal.
As for the commercial, all I thought was "wow, I'm glad I'm not married to a bitch" when I saw it.

Hmmm... I don't see it as the husband being terrified of his wife, so much as I see it as a husband who suddenly realizes that he has walked into a conversational minefield and would like to retreat without looking like a total idiot, and without making his wife feel further insulted.
Which he doesn't do a very good job of - the failure of which is intended to be humorous
For the record, it feels very strange to be in agreement with Bill on something, even if only partially so.

Complaining about cereal commercials makes you look weak and pathetic.

I thought the Daily show was going to have trouble coming up with new material.
Weirdly, so is the factor.

I'm utterly amazed how they're both able to be totally chauvinistic and still not able to find a common ground regarding a cereal commercial.
one is a patronizing asshole, the other is a whining douche.

Really, the ad just makes the woman look like a bitch, maybe ostensible women Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin should feign anger here.

Few people know that the true secret purpose of the Large Hardon Collider is to give scientists the ability to observe objects which are so unimaginably tiny, that there might someday be a chance of locating Bill O'Reilly's penis.

"...what if the box says 'shut up Susie!' you'd never see that!"
mind boggled by awesome logic.

I'm trying to be offended by both of these idiots, but niether one of them can put together a sentence that makes any logical sense, offensive or otherwise.

They really lost me. The only thing I can take from this is to never ask a girl if she likes the song 'The Weight' by The Band. Obviously that word is completely off limits forever.

i'm more concerned with why the damn box seems like it's rendered into the shot. that bothers me to no end.

libby1217 - 2009-02-12
bill is actually ok in this, and i like him very much...i think it's very cute...guys are insecure and women are too...it's a cute commercial and i don't think many people are putting that much thought into it...

My jaw dropped when the commercial ended and they had the split-screen ready for a goddam satellite link so they could discuss this *cereal commercial*. I shut it off right there because, I mean I have free time, but not THAT much free time.
