chairsforcheap - 2009-02-14

also, this is by far the best film they ever put to film

Cleaner82 - 2009-02-14

Yes. I am channeling the avatar of PoE which wants you to see this film.

Slumgullion - 2009-02-14

Do you see what happens, Larry?

Old_Zircon - 2009-02-14

This movie is pretty much perfect.

Syd Midnight - 2009-02-14

This was the first time I saw John Goodman seriously acting and it's a hell of a scene too

mouser - 2009-02-14

He was totally awesome in that movie.

Blaise - 2009-02-14

It's like watching someone you like jack-off in your face.

Billy the Poet - 2009-02-14

We're men... we wrestled.

Anti-Semite!

Cleaner82 - 2009-02-14

There are many silly and generally worthless theories as to what exactly the hell is going on here. I prefer to just soak it in. Like a beating.

Syd Midnight - 2009-02-15

When someone points out holocaust analogies that kinda ruins the movie because you start seeing them everywhere, like the jew walking into the fire.

FABIO - 2009-03-01

spoilers

The hotel has gone from purgatory (the motto is "a day or a lifetime", and Barton is more than a day) to full on hell once he takes up Charlie's "gift" of breaking his writer's block with Audrey's murder ("writing is pain") and not confessing to the detectives.

Barton is trapped there forever by the studio head with the worst possible eternal punishment for him: forced to write without anything ever being made.

The best Coen Brothers movie, which is high praise indeed.
