By all accounts, Julia liked occasionally doing out of the way weird shit because he felt like it made him a better actor.
He claims he did this movie for his kids, who were 11 and 7 at the time and fans of Street Fighter. That's actually kind of cool.
Sometimes it's hard to believe that this movie turned out the way it did on purpose.

Everything about this is awesome.
I prefer to remember Julia for the Addams Family movies, but he was just awesome in everything he did.
Watching this scene I kept expecting he might keel over dead at any second.
Holy shit. Please tell me this is on DVD somewhere. Please.
