I'm pretty sure the Daily Show made a Nazi reference when criticizing Joe the Plumber's remarks about how the media should not cover wars. Anyway, the reason everyone compares fascist-style activities to Hitler is because Americans don't know anything about world history. They just know Hitler was a very bad man.
