He was insane. He doesn't think like normal people when it comes to anything, including the 'I'd hit that' department.

Plus, Harley is kind of annoying, personality and voice-wise. He probably felt like smacking her every time she opened her mouth, or at least he probably wished for a mute sidekick. At one time he probably considered her to be something like a pupil but she deviated from the 'student' path with her feelings and this probably also infuriated him. Most days he most likely wonders why he wastes so much time when she'll obviously never live up to her potential.

He would probably feel that his treatment of her 'is for her own good' in the course of her future development, and he probably hopes she would overthrow him one day like a good villain should.

That's my take on the whole thing. Yes, I think he should have 'gone for seconds', but I'm not a criminal mastermind in clown makeup.

Kinda makes you wonder why Poison Ivy puts up with her. (Don't get me wrong I liked the Harley Quinn character from the moment I saw her.) And yeah I'm with takewithfood, stars for Mark Hamill's voice acting as well.

Harley Quinn's comic book series goes into a lot of depth sometimes, and it was also a lot of fun to read, to check it out sometime.

How can you miss the lesbian subtext between Harley and Ivy? Poison Ivy has the most understandable motivation possible for putting up with Harley Quinn.
