Not enough stars for Harley Quinn. Also, Mark Hamill.

Innocent Bystander - 2009-03-02

OK that pie bit was kinda risque.

IrishWhiskey - 2009-03-02

Harley was the best new thing from the animated series. And there's a lot of competition in that category.

TeenerTot - 2009-03-02

Harley was my Quake model. Stars for her!
On another note, was Joker impotent, or just gay?

Corman's Inferno - 2009-03-02

The Joker isn't interested in anything that doesn't involve killing Batman.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2009-03-02

Joker had a nutty gay death fetish for humorless millionaire costume enthusiast with cool toys and great cars.

SolRo - 2009-03-02

You try getting it up after acid burns all your skin to that pasty white color

13.5 - 2009-03-02

Ah yes, I've read the "Killing Batman" entry at urbandictionary

kingofthenothing - 2009-03-02

He was insane. He doesn't think like normal people when it comes to anything, including the 'I'd hit that' department.

Plus, Harley is kind of annoying, personality and voice-wise. He probably felt like smacking her every time she opened her mouth, or at least he probably wished for a mute sidekick. At one time he probably considered her to be something like a pupil but she deviated from the 'student' path with her feelings and this probably also infuriated him. Most days he most likely wonders why he wastes so much time when she'll obviously never live up to her potential.

He would probably feel that his treatment of her 'is for her own good' in the course of her future development, and he probably hopes she would overthrow him one day like a good villain should.

That's my take on the whole thing. Yes, I think he should have 'gone for seconds', but I'm not a criminal mastermind in clown makeup.

HURF BLURF DUH - 2009-03-02

Based on that comment, I'm guessing you may not be as far away as you think.

MrBuddy - 2009-03-03

Kinda makes you wonder why Poison Ivy puts up with her. (Don't get me wrong I liked the Harley Quinn character from the moment I saw her.) And yeah I'm with takewithfood, stars for Mark Hamill's voice acting as well.

Syd Midnight - 2009-05-31

Harley Quinn's comic book series goes into a lot of depth sometimes, and it was also a lot of fun to read, to check it out sometime.

CharlesSmith - 2010-06-23

How can you miss the lesbian subtext between Harley and Ivy? Poison Ivy has the most understandable motivation possible for putting up with Harley Quinn.

The Mothership - 2009-03-02

If you have to explain a joke, there is no joke.

And don't call me 'puddin'.

Camonk - 2009-03-02

Hat guy, and lizard man and... puppetface...

baleen - 2009-03-02

I remember watching this show in 7th grade. They finally realized that 13 year old boys didn't want to watch mere "cartoons." We wanted more: Dark, ominous shading, actual death, and, most importantly, innuendo.

Desidiosus - 2009-03-02

Insert rant about how crappy the Joker was in The Batman here.

fluffy - 2009-08-21

Yeah that's basically what my comment was going to boil down to.

tenten - 2009-03-02

Ah, a mounted swordfish. The weapon of choice when defending oneself from domestic violence.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-03-02

5:07-6:10.

Zarathustra00 - 2009-06-25

Batman's facial expressions, especially the look of total rejection at 5:19, are what put this over the top for me.

Hooper_X - 2009-03-02

My absolute favorite BTAS episode is the first Clayface one. They never EXPLICITLY come out and say it, but the guy who is really concerned about Clayface's wellbeing, and is by his side in the hospital, and tells Batman & Robin to go easy on him?

Is totally Clayface's boyfriend. Super classy, that.

Gmork - 2013-03-02

Clayface is rock hudson of the batman universe - at least thats the parallel I saw in it.

HURF BLURF DUH - 2009-03-02

There is nothing not awesome about this.

RomancingTrain - 2009-03-02

What about how ugly the WB episodes were?

BHWW - 2009-03-02

The B:TAS folks really got some rough chuckles out of this relationship and got just a tad risque with the whole Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy relationship a bit as well.

IrishWhiskey - 2010-08-10

My favorite innuendo (from any show) was when the Joker busted into the apartment Harley and Ivy were living in together and said: "Well, haven't you two been busy little (pause) bees."

Subtle, brilliant, and dirty as hell.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-03-02

I always loved the Looney Tunes -esque moment at 5:50

afp3683 - 2009-03-03

If you think the pie joke was blunt in its sexuality, check out some of Bruce Timm's other drawings of Harley. It's a safe bet that he really liked using her as a sex object in his art.

joffe b - 2009-03-03

at least half of the DC cartoons can be defined as "The Batman/Superman and Things Bruce Timm and Paul Dini Wanted to Fuck Adventure Show!"

God bless those talented perverts.

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2009-03-04

That chirp at 3:51 and 5:56 and again at 7:27.

Thanks Bruce Timm and Paul Dini.

Sick Man - 2009-03-03

Steve Ditko's Creeper? Really?

Merzbau - 2009-03-03

Two-Face an' Hat Guy' an' Lizardman an' Puppet Head an'

Also? I could listen to Mark Hamill say CHATTAHOOCHEE on a constant loop. For DAYS.

DrVital - 2009-03-04

The only thing this is missing is the real Harley ending from the Batman Beyond movie...

Squeamish - 2009-03-08

Oh, man. Harley Quinn.

Few things helped with the akward nerd's budding adolescance better than these cartoons.

Syd Midnight - 2009-05-31

The Joker's doubletake at 2:27 is probably the only time in his life he's made that facial expression.

Cleaner82 - 2009-06-25

"I'm only staying long enough to collect what's mine."

"Squeeee!"
