Once again, we learn never to get on a comedian's bad side.

If it makes you feel better, the only individual stock any of the CNBC reporters is permitted to hold in their investment accounts is General Electric. It last traded at 6.66 (make of that what you will), down from a 52wk high of 38.52.

Or to get on the bad side of anyone willing to do research.

Their staff must have incredible memories to turn around something like this in a couple of days. That, or a vault of elaborately labelled and indexed tapes of everything that has ever aired on TV.

zatojones - 2009-03-05

sadly they probably have a smarter staff and better fact checkers than most of legit cable news

Actually, the CNBC site has a convenient and very deep index of all their interviewees spanning years, all with keywords and synopses. Its pretty easy to tell if a person is full of shit if you're willing to go back.

There's always equal parts joy and sadness when I see things like this.

Joy, at seeing someone use humor and insight to point out the injustices we aren't addressing. Sadness at the fact that the sycophantic behavior on CNBC is no different than any other network.

They really are all wedded to the corporate elite, and aren't so much afraid to point out the blatant hypocrisy, as blind to it. Pretending a return to Clinton-era tax rates for the wealthy will doom capitalism, is not much different than pretending gay marriage will doom our culture and morality.

Stab, then twist

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2009-03-05

Fucking scathing.

TeenerTot - 2009-03-05

Brilliant.

halon - 2009-03-05

Oh, dear.

JimL2 - 2009-03-08

My favorite part is that when the reveals come, the audience is too horrified to laugh.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-03-09

The horrified, horrified quietude.
