Living in Orange County we were sometimes lucky enough to see these things go up. Beautiful an a bit eery at the same time :O

Ahaha, rad - I've been on base for a few Titan IV launches - and the trippiest part is when the rocket is pointing directly away from you, as it makes this huge 4 pointed starburst that messes with your eyes. Dawn and evening launches are the best.
