I want to say this is parody...

svraz - 2009-03-16

As a teen I worked one summer for a major dry cleaning chain. I dropped acid during a shift once. I let people make their own change (I just grabbed a handful of change out of the till and held my hands open) and handed out a lot of off coupons. Everyone was happy. Nothing really came out of it other than recieving a company memo asking staff to cool it on handing out coupons.

Xiphias - 2009-03-16

That sounds like an incredible waste of acid, man. Save it for a party or a concert or just walking around in a park!

(Message brought to you by The Committee For Having The Most Fun Possible With Your Drugs)

Sean Robinson - 2009-03-16

The dry cleaning chemicals gave you pancreatic cancer, which is germinating in you and will flower in your early thirties.

Lauritz Melchior - 2009-03-16

My brain read Xiphias' comment as "Save it for a party or a concert or just walking around the desert," and I thought that that would be the *worst* place to ever drop acid.

wtf japan - 2009-03-16

I'm pretty sure the desert has been extensively proven to be a fucking AWESOME place to take psychoactive drugs.

wtf japan - 2009-03-16

I mean hallucinogens. All drugs are psychoactive.

VoilaIntruder - 2009-03-16

Are all drugs hallucinogens? My world-view is collapsing.

svraz - 2009-03-16

Pancreatic cancer? I wish. That would mean I would still have my pancreas with a little luck and a lot of chemo.
I lost my fucking pancreas and half of my abdomen in the early 90's.

Camonk - 2009-03-17

Man way to bring everybody down, bro.

To counteract that, I suggest everyone think of your favorite "character hallucinating in the desert" scene from a movie. I call Beavis and Butthead Do America! BAM!

svraz - 2009-03-17

Sorry to bring you down man. I will ask the nurse to rent that movie for me. Maybe it will take my mind off my missing pancreas and the hell my life has become.

Syd Midnight - 2009-03-19

But now you can't get pancratic cancer. That's kinda like a superpower. You may now engage in pancreas-destroying pursuits with reckless abandon.

The Townleybomb - 2009-03-16

The electronically-generated voice makes this trippy as hell, maaaan.

UnderANeonHalo - 2009-03-16

Most of the stoners I've known I wouldn't pay to rake my yard. That said, as a person who's never smoked pot I feel that I have an less biased opinion and I have to admit that the "recreational" smokers I've known over the years have better job satisfaction and productivity due to having a more relaxed home life. I don't think marijuana is as bad as alcohol (which I imbibe regularly) or anywhere near as detrimental to ones health as tobacco, therefore I support the legalization of it.

Like alcohol, marijuana can be used responsibly by adults in moderation to make this hell we all live in a little more bearable.

I'll save my opinions on the amazing substance known as LSD for a later date.

UnderANeonHalo - 2009-03-16

Oh yeah, this video was kinda creepy and I dug the music.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-03-16

The idea that your opinion is *less* biased because you've never smoked is a little silly. I mean I get what you're saying but it sounds like you think it's a much bigger deal than it actually is.

UnderANeonHalo - 2009-03-16

I don't think it's a big deal really, but I do believe that the opinion of an outside observer is less biased than someone who regularly smokes weed ,or someone who would make a video like this.

Also, my stepdad used to say "Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one and they all stink."

gazebo - 2009-03-16

That wasn't your stepdad, it was a bumper sticker.

VoilaIntruder - 2009-03-16

Freak accident at the bumper sticker factory.

Sidenote: His stepfather was last seen on the window of a LeBaron in Nebraska, any tips on his whereabouts would be greatly appreciated by a very sad family.

UnderANeonHalo - 2009-03-16

My secrets out.... My mother was "Honk if you're horny", her and her sister "Don't come a knockin' if the van is a rockin" grew up with nowhere to live but a 66 VW microbus. My given name is "I'm not playing with myself, I'm adjusting my piercing."

pastorofmuppets - 2009-03-17

UANH: I didn't mean to dig too hard, I agree with what you're saying. My point is that were you to ask an alcoholic how their life is going, they'd probably say it was pretty crummy. I suppose some would be oblivious but most would know. It's the same with pot. Some people lie to themselves, some don't. It doesn't say much about marijuana, just the human condition.

It's funny, I've never gone overboard with any substance, done lots of things but never hurt myself or others. But this year I realized I was doing with food what I prided myself on avoiding with everything else, that is, not setting proper limits. And I did a lot more damage that way, because it seemed innocuous.

Goofy Gorilla - 2009-03-16

Really? You think that people that smoke a lot of weed aren't satisfied with their jobs? WOW!

William Burns - 2009-03-16

THIS IS WHAT SQUARES ACTUALLY BELIEVE

pastorofmuppets - 2009-03-16

Marijuana doesn't negatively affect all industries. For instance: people who paint psychedelic album artwork. Also, marijuana farmers.

UnderANeonHalo - 2009-03-16

On a related note, there's a pizza place called "Crust" around Signal Mountain, TN that makes some of the best pizza I've ever had.

Sick Man - 2009-03-16

'cooking pizzas' has to be at the top of that list

Xenocide - 2009-03-16

I'm convinced! I'm never hiring anyone from the 1960's.

Syd Midnight - 2009-03-19

I'm convinced! I'm never getting a job.

fatatty - 2009-03-16

You wouldn't hire this man?

pastorofmuppets - 2009-03-17

"Employees who abuse marijuana are more likely to have...psychological issues"

Yeah, but what about the ones who just smoke it but don't abuse it?

The criminal records thing is actually one reason why legalization would be good. Or at the very least decriminalization in more areas. There's no reason for the government to force you to choose between associating with shady characters or refraining from crossing some bullshit line in the sand that polite society drew to make handcuffing Mexicans and selling newspapers easier.

yourmother - 2009-03-17

In a legal sense, any use of an illegal substance such as Marijuana is termed "abuse," as opposed to alcohol, which you have to actually use to much of to "have a problem."

That being said, this video was sweet.
