I think she has all the excuses she needs for wanting to live in a fantasy world.

baleen - 2009-03-23

She looks like she's had major reconstructive surgery. I remember a girl who had her face kinda torn off in a car accident and she ended up looking a bit like this.

Rovin - 2009-03-23

Her videos say it's Mobius Syndrome.

allcaps - 2009-03-23

Thank you, now I know what that is.

Deer lord.

kennydra - 2009-03-23

Too many comments to make.

Pillager - 2009-03-23

She has the Innsmouth look.

Rovin - 2009-03-23

The return of a classic.

To look into her eyes is to know madness.

Species - 2009-03-23

i was thinking the same thing

Blank_Slate - 2009-03-23

When you look into the abyss, the abyss looks back at you.

Disaster - 2009-03-23

I tried to imagine her making herbal essence noises, it is horrifying. :C

chairsforcheap - 2009-03-23

she would be an amazing ventriloquist and need no training, the only problem being the audience wouldn't know which one was the dummy.

chumbucket - 2009-03-23

I have no idea what's she's talking about, I guess that's a good thing.

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference - 2009-03-23

I can only look at the intro capture for a few moments before parts of my inner child start screaming. 5 stars for that.

kiint - 2009-03-23

it's like watching a deer permanently captured in the approaching headlights

forever

Meerkat - 2009-03-23

I'm converting to Necrophilia.

SRP - 2009-03-23

Fuck all of you, I think this is really kind of inspiring, burps and farts and all.

So, ok, she's got a massive boner for anime and LARPing. All things considered, it's understandable. Imagine this: your face is frozen in terror, perminently. People who see you walk down the street assume you're angry or pissed off or mentally handicapped. This chick obviously has taken some pretty shitty cards she was dealt, added on a large helping of fantasy (LARPing, anime, etc), and made the best of it.

We're all dealt cards we don't like. Binro has his childhood, Beelzebubbles (god rest her) had her own problems. This chick has to wear her problems on her face, every day, for everyone to see. And holy shit, it's terrifying, but if my problems were there on my face instead of where they are, I'd hope I handle it half as well as she does.

So, 5 stars.

Species - 2009-03-23

you dick. you made me feel guilty.

glasseye - 2009-03-23

Hell yeah, I hope she has a great time at the con.

Albuquerque Halsey - 2009-03-23

same. it's fun to goof on her, but i'd never say it to her face.

allcaps - 2009-03-23

Let's not go too far here: if she didn't have a condition, we'd all be mocking her for the animu. If she was just into the animu, we'd be bored. And if it was just about Mobius Syndrome, we'd engage it seriously, even intellectually.

It's the image of a person with this condition, combined with a hobby predicated on dressing up and drawing attention to yourself, with a dash of that Hello Kitty bedspread, baked all together in the white hot refusal of adolescence to have any sense of judicious limitation, that makes it all a delicious, painful cake! As with Chris-Chan, or Jawsus, you scream NOOO the pain of all the rejection and humiliation of my own youth will be amplified a thousand times in YOOOOU and yet by myself mocking you, I in some way abrogate that painful recollection, much as starvation in Africa makes me appreciate my Cup Noodle. We must protect and cherish our internet oddballs, all while urging them on to ever greater acts of self debasement!

gambol - 2009-03-23

relax

Keefu - 2009-03-23

I'm afraid to watch this beyond the pre-loader.

thebaronsdoctor - 2009-03-23

Okay, I feel bad because she has a genetic disorder, but Mobius Syndrome seems like a condition specifically designed to make people uncomfortable.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-03-23

I can't rate this because I just feel sorry for her. She can't help being born with that and I'm guessing she has found acceptance in this niche subculture, so if she's happy good for her.

themilkshark - 2009-03-23

Wow guys...

This is a trip. I went to school with this girl.

People teased her nonstop, she pretty much lived in her own world. I don't know her real name because all she was ever referred as was Ratgirl.

So yah gambol, maybe add "Ratgirl" tag for old times sake?

gambol - 2009-03-23

tag added

glasseye - 2009-03-24

And linked.

brainbroke - 2009-03-24

This is sad. :( I can't rate this. This is probably the only way she can find people who are nice to her.

Tuan Jim - 2009-03-24

So, has anyone else wondered what kissing a person with Mobius syndrome is like?

No? Oh, okay.

Me neither.

1394 - 2009-03-24

Well, it's no wedding dress video, but what is?

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2009-06-12
