The cop sounds drunk, and probably was.

Rafiki - 2009-03-26

Nah, that's just Texas drawl combined with shitty audio.

dickshapedfood - 2009-03-26

5 stars for PIGagory.

Frank Rizzo - 2009-03-26

should be no problem getting linked!

Smellvin - 2009-03-26

A lot of cops seem to have difficulty with the whole not-a-completely-black-and-white-situation concept...

Cleaner82 - 2009-03-26

Oh, but this WAS a matter of black and white.

RockBolt - 2009-03-26

"Could you seriously get him up there, she's dying right now"

"I'M ALMOST DONE"

Frank Rizzo - 2009-03-26

if he wasnt a rich football player (lawsuit! lawsuit! lawsuit!) this may have made the news, but no way would the officer in question be put on payed vacation, errr I mean payed leave and no way in hell would the police dept have apologized publicly like they did.

glendower - 2009-03-26

I agree. Even though this is the most dickish thing ever, the cop was probably following standard dickish cop procedure.

Robert DeNegro - 2009-03-26

That was EXACTLY what I was thinking when I saw this. Worse than the usual cop power tripping insensitivity (which should surprise no one (and is bad enough)), I'm more disgusted by their mamby-pamby, two-face, hypocritical, politically-motivated butt whiffing after the fact.

lolcoolj - 2009-03-27

You could tell he was being the standard bad cop, when the other cop arrived and played good cop.

RockBolt - 2009-03-27

Still, the fact that he didn't let up or delay his ticket writing even when the doctors came out to verify that his mother in law had minutes to live is beyond following proper procedure imo

gSSEhh - 2009-03-26

The only thing more pathetic than the power tripping cop is the fawning and grovelling that follow once it is revealed that a professional athlete is involved.

StanleyPain - 2009-03-26

WHy yes, just LOOK AT ALL THE GROVELING GOING ON HERE on POETV. Jesus, it is truly sickening, I can barely even read these comments through all the FAWNING.

Udderdude - 2009-03-26

Clearly this man has no room to complain about the situation due to being an NFL player. He's an NFL player, what more does he want?

Camonk - 2009-03-26

Fuck you. Just because the guy is better than you are because he plays football is no reason to play the pussy faggot card

Which you just did. With a fucking full house of two more pussy faggots and two hippy dumbass

Way to go

Shithead

zatojones - 2009-03-27

yeah you're a fucking asshole

Avengingatheist - 2009-03-27

"I can screw you over pal"

lolcoolj - 2009-03-27

Eh he plays for the Texans, who cares.

TeenerTot - 2009-03-27

Paid leave? That'll learn 'im.

Rudy - 2009-03-27

You can find a (tiny) unedited version of this clip here:

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stor ies/032609dnmetcopstop.3e9c080.html

It includes the part where Officer Prick says "I could make this the worst night of your life!"

....

Rudy - 2009-03-27

Oops, that's "I could make your night very difficult!"

Still, .....

Wombles - 2009-05-14

Obviously lying; racing to the hospital? oldest trick in the book.

This is really a relatively minor abuse of power; I say that mostly remembering the cop that stopped someone bringing their dying parent to the hospital, and because it was his in-law.
