Sure, he can break a board in half, but he'd totally get his shit completely and utterly wrecked by The Amazing Randi and his skeptkido.

(Seriously, though - this guy is the king daddy of bullshit mail order martial arts hucksters. He's published like thirty books that are all about THE SECRET POWER OF NINJA and has a standing challenge to fight anyone who pays him ten grand, meets his exact specifications as to the location, place and time, covers all his travel expenses and hotel fees, then pays him a bunch more money, while reserving the right to back out at any time if he is dissatisfied. WHAT A BADASS.)

Ashida Kim represents the taint of the internet.

NoCode - 2009-03-26

That is the worst magic trick I've ever seen.

Also, Fee and I have one of his aforementioned awful books. We found it at a used book store and it was worth the dollar we spent on it. It' hilariously stupid.

RockBolt - 2009-03-27

Its an ILLLUSION

Killer Joe - 2009-04-10

He'll rip your head off, too. Then punch you in your damn face.

tenten - 2009-03-26

Yep, that hoop totally went all the way underneath him and he sure didn't tuck the ping pong ball into his shirt there at the end.

Truly a master.

Aelric - 2009-03-26

That was a belly laugh.

Hooker - 2009-03-26

I want this guy for my next birthday party so badly. I'll invite all my roudiest, drunkest asshole friends and everything.

Avengingatheist - 2009-03-27

Ninja magic seems pretty weak, I bet Pirate magic kicks its ass

sosage - 2009-03-27

Levitation trick: F-
Slight of hand: D

Turn in your magicians top hat and magic cane and get the fuck out of my clown college!

Kieran27 - 2009-03-27

I had to watch the levitation and hoop thing three times to be sure I was seeing it right. There's clear evidence of post production in this film, so clearly someone watched it before posting it. Did they just not notice the hula hoop kind of never gets under his ass? Were they gonna fix it in post and forgot?

But five stars for making me laugh when he "landed" back on the mat. That just made it for me.

Frank Rizzo - 2009-03-27

whats that? I raff I ruse?

I lost.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-03-27

This guy looks exactly like my best friend's dad.

Hooper_X - 2009-03-27

I think any sufficiently white suburban kid knows at least three dudes who look exactly like this.

fermun - 2009-03-27

I've never seen such bad magic. His slight of hand is so easy to watch where he is palming. The hula hoop. I can only hope no one has ever purchased this man's tapes.

detc - 2009-03-27

This is the first time I've seen a magician fuck up the slight of hand trick. Not only does he make it painfully obvious, but he does the same motions two or three times just so you're able to understand with absolute certainty how awful he is.

kingofthenothing - 2009-03-27

I'm not sure why he tried the levitation thing anyway. I can't think of a reason why ninjas would really need to "float". It would seem like ingenuity and a good set of tools could get them wherever they needed to go, so it'd probably be more important that they could just, you know, shimmy up a rope or something.

That, and a lot of the b.s. ninjas probably spread about themselves as propaganda probably mentions levitation and all kind of cool mystical powers, but even they would have known it was just fluff, stories to scare the superstitious. Maybe "Riding the Wind" meant using something like a zip line.

Hooper_X - 2009-03-27

Or maybe it just meant "run really fast and jump over shit, parkour-style." Regardless, "vaguely hovering in place like a turd in a toilet bowl" is hardly a fantastic display of prowess.

Maybe that's why this dude is unemployed and still lives with his mom. (no seriously.)

phalsebob - 2009-03-27

Ah, the old Weeaboo Mark 1.

FineFilter - 2009-03-27

Ashida Kim? More like Ibeatup Him, amirte!!111!!!

glasseye - 2009-03-27

Hilarious.

Cube - 2009-03-29

He's a funnier comedian than most.

Cleaner82 - 2009-08-15

So does the book at least teach you how to palm ping pong balls?
