I just replayed this game last week. I forgot how goddamn beautiful the game was.

My game would always start stuttering and slowing down to the point that instead of frames per second I had seconds per frame, so I was never able to watch this. I forget how I was able to get the game to actually progress past it, since it locked the game up eventually too. Good to finally see it.

I like how the guy forgot to log out of the steam community before recording.

This game is great, but everyone constantly telling you how much they admire, love, and adore you starts making me uncomfortable. I almost think I need a restraining order or something...

I hope we get more of the story behind G-Man in Ep 3.

Comeuppance - 2009-04-13 Apparently, episode 3 will be the last installment in the HL2 series. At this rate, it'll be 2020 before they release HL3 and reveal that he's just some semi-omnipotent creature that is subtly and often not-so-subtly psychically manipulating you and those around you to his own ends. Those ends, coincidentally, are beneficial to the resistance movement and the overall well-being of humanity.
Oh, yeah, spoiler alert.

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2009-07-25 G-Man is basically Gordon's agent. We knew this from the end of the fucking first game in 199fucking6. He's the motherfucking /G/-Man;he sets Gordon off like a fuse, then escapes to plausible deniability on his metaphysical higher dimensional hide-out/Q Continuum, while Gordon defies odds that would make C3PO during the asteroid chase in Empire Strikes Back look like the model of calm complacency.
G-Man is a betting man. And Gordon was Green Double Zero in HL1. He already put all his chips on The Big G Freeman twice, and won both spins. In the end, I'm guessing G-man's overarching plans gloss over small details like what becomes of our particular dimensional universe. Gordon is just a particularly exceptional and exploitatable specimen of a species of a world of a galaxy of a universe among grains of sand on a beach. Gordon is That Guy.

Every time I hear people talking about how this is the pinnacle of gameplay and storytelling I swear they have to be talking about a different one than I played.
