This is pretty much an open invitation for everyone who hates wrestling to come talk about how dumb wrestling is, and then everyone who likes wrestling can come talk about how great it is.

Or not.

The point is, Lex Luger is a big dumb ox that couldn't wrestle and this guy ended up with twenty-odd stitches in his forehead because of it.

(Man, the WWE DVDs bury Luger something fierce. I think the only guy who comes across worse in them is Warrior, and that DVD was pretty much an intentional smear job.)

Wrestlin' ain't real

Cena_mark - 2009-04-18

The Warrior smear was still fun to watch. Luger wasn't a great wrestler, but I was a fan of his when I was young.

Desidiosus - 2009-04-18

Of course you'd like Luger, he's about as uncoordinated as John Cena is.

Toenails - 2009-04-18

From my experience watching wrestling when I was growing up, Lex Luger will always be that wrestler standing on the sidelines in a tag-team match trying desperately to tag himself in while his partner is getting the pummeled by their opponents.

Then, when the inevitable happens and he does get tagged in, Luger will always go ape-shit and clothesline the two opponents over and over to the applause of thousands.

Although, me and my brother always debated on whether the Rack would actually hurt, or if it would massage back muscle and realign the spine beneficially.

Why didn't you just give your brother the Rack? That's what we did in my house.

Toenails - 2009-04-18

I honestly don't know.

We certainly tried a good deal of wrestling moves out on each other. That is where I found out that the Figure-Four does indeed hurt like a bitch, and the DDT is the biggest joke of a move as it hurts the person giving it more than the person receiving it.

Probably was because neither of us were physically fit and weren't capable of hoisting the other upon our shoulders and back.

So is the move actually effective or not?

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2009-11-17

uh

trust me on the DDT, it's not useless at all.

Modern Angel - 2009-04-18

According to my kid brother, yes. But it only sort of hurts your back. The main thing is that you're flopping around in the air and your brains get scrambled.

Modern Angel - 2009-04-18

That was a reply to Toenails

I just found out that Luger now weighs about 170 lbs and is almost totally paralysed below the waist.

MISS ELIZABETH'S REVENGE!

Also, I eagerly await and vaguely fear the activation of the "copious amounts of blood" tag.

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference - 2009-04-18

I never got into 'pro' wrestling, I grew up in the times of Andre the Giant, George the Animal Steele, Jake the Snake and the Iron Sheik; but in the end I just kept getting this underlying intuitive feeling that this was meant to channel homosexual urges in men under the guise of 'entertainment competition'.

In short, I have felt a long time that violence and ritual combat is often an outlet for homosexual urges that need to be denied by the viewer.

Except for Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. What an ass on that piece of manmeat.
