I thought this was a dupe? Either way, interesting for how shitty he treated Simone de Beauvoir, though I think the Heidegger and Nietzsche chapters are better.

Keefu - 2009-04-21 The Heidegger one barely focuses on anything other than his association with the Nazis. I learned almost nothing about what the guy had to say about the world.

baleen - 2009-04-21 Inasmuch as you can't learn too much about Heidegger from a short documentary series, it's probably more important in the short term to establish how his thinking led him to willingly join the Nazi party and why he never became an outspoken critic of their activities.
There is one amazing (and very long) documentary about Heidegger's thinking called The Ister.

Keefu - 2009-04-21 I got lucky enough to catch the poetv multisubmit on a good day basically.
Also, I will look into The Ister, thanks.

Keefu - 2009-04-21 65$ is a bit of penny to plunk down right now. I assume this is entirely worth buying regularly?

I wouldn't pay and I have actually written the producers of the film saying they'd do a lot better for themselves if they just let it go by for free or put it up on a high end arthouse film streaming content provider like TheAuteurs.com ...
I am certain you can get this on Karagarga. I saw it on google video but they quickly pulled it down.
