Do Ms Winfrey's public interests align with mine like Tom Snyder or Charlie Rose? No. But when one considers the spectrum of media personalities, and even just talk show hosts, one can do much (MUCH) worse than encouraging middle-aged women to spend their time reading, or endorsing Obama at a critical juncture.
He's not slouching. He's cringing at the string of platitudes that emanate from his mouth as a necessary result of the attunement of his being to that of a much lesser one.
