Guy with crudely made wings attached to arm jumping off of 6 foot tall rock at 1:46 is still one of my favorites. What the hell did he think would happen?

Camonk - 2009-05-04

That at worst he'd have to try from a higher position. So he did. By jumping off a bridge at 2:36.

THE MAIN LIFTING LIFTERS.

It must have been fun to live in a time where you could just make shit up and people would take you seriously based solely on your moustache.

That particular aircraft is not founded on pure quackery.

Hoppy car is best

Pretty awesome - this is from Gizmo, no? Regardless, quite a few of the designs they show flying are actually quite viable. For instance, there is a shot of the Stipa-Caproni haulin ass at one point.

yeah, I love that plane! and thanks to Ursa's handy link I got to read all about it:

I do get the feeling that a lot of this shit would get airborne if you put solid modern motors on it. Might not get very far tho.

The flying disc is awesome because that actually works. The US fighters to replace the P-51 were going to be flying discs until jets came along, and they decided to just put a jet engine in a P-51 instead. But we will have flying saucers YET.
