Nick Cave is a terrible singer and a very very bad dancer. He's also ugly as sin and generally awkward. I can't figure out why I'm so keen on him. I guess it's his writing. He's a hell of a writer.

Hal Willner did a much better Weill tribute album in the 80's, Lost in the Stars. Sting, of all people, did a very good version of this song. That album also had Tom Waits, Lou Reed, John Zorn, Dagmar Krause, and Marianne Faithful.

God I hate Nick Cave.
