I can't believe they're remaking V. Looking at this story from the point of view of the modern world, this just comes off as, at best, xenophobic, and, at less than best, outright racist. In two hundred years, all of our evil alien science fiction might be as big an embarrassment socially as our blaxploitation was.

That's true, but the guys driving their cars past people's houses, throwing rocks, and yelling GO AWAY, SCIENTISTS! was awesome. They painted anti-science dudes as basically Nazis. It was ham-handed and awful, but also cool.
