Well, I predict this turning into a fanboy shitstorm of pro and anti Obama horsepucky.

socialist_hentai - 2009-05-21

that's what you get for embracing a non-american as your messiah and turning away from christ , who incidentally is still coming to "really" save us! ... any minute now... wait for it...

memedumpster - 2009-05-21

I can't believe they're remaking V. Looking at this story from the point of view of the modern world, this just comes off as, at best, xenophobic, and, at less than best, outright racist. In two hundred years, all of our evil alien science fiction might be as big an embarrassment socially as our blaxploitation was.

namtar - 2009-05-21

The twist with this remake might be that they're not really evil.

Goofy Gorilla - 2009-05-21

This show didn't even make sense in 1983.

Camonk - 2009-05-21

That's true, but the guys driving their cars past people's houses, throwing rocks, and yelling GO AWAY, SCIENTISTS! was awesome. They painted anti-science dudes as basically Nazis. It was ham-handed and awful, but also cool.

Plus the Beast Master with his feathered hair.

hornung - 2009-05-21

plus freddie kruger as a good guy.

and god damn michael fucking ironside as a man named Ham.

Hooker - 2009-05-21

You guys are reading way too much into this TRAILER of a SCI-FI TV SHOW.

Modern Angel - 2009-05-22

Who the fuck is embarrassed by Blaxpoitation?

Syd Midnight - 2009-05-22

Hornung that really fucked me up, I grew up with Robert Englund as a loveable meek and mild alien. When he started doing Freddy it freaked me out because ACTING.

Juice Eggs McKenna - 2012-06-11

It was a pretty straight forward allegory for the rise of fascism that glorified guerrilla warfare. Unlike the new one where the aliens are sleeper cell terrorists or something.

Lauritz Melchior - 2009-05-21

This isn't about the Thomas Pynchon novel...

TeflonDoc - 2009-05-21

That makes it my second favorite V.

dementomstie - 2009-05-21

OK, so we get the lady from Lost and Morena Baccarin and did I see Alan Tudyk as one of the other cops in the fake passport scene? Yes, Yes I did.
OK ABC, you have me for the crappy re-make. You've spoken to the true heart of my very strong geekdom.

I would say that regardless of how bad this is nerds will be praising it for the fact of Tudyk and Baccarin alone.

Hooper_X - 2009-05-22

And Tom from The 4400!

Reefer Fez - 2009-05-22

Eh, no reverb in the V's voices. At least it looks like they kept them lizards.

Syd Midnight - 2009-05-22

If they use the peel-off body suits then I bet masking turns into a nerd sex fetish.

kingarthur - 2009-05-22

So...uh...Juliet's really dead, isn't she?

dementomstie - 2009-05-22

yeah, at least until season 7 of lost when everyone comes back as zombies.

dead_cat - 2009-05-22

Wow, that's probably going to suck at least as bad as the original.
