You could have a field day with clips of footage from movies and TV shows that have computers making the wrong noises. Your life will not be long enough to watch all of them.
on the contrary, I think Dexter's getting better with every season. it turned from a mediocre "monster of the week" procedural drama to an immersive look into Dexter's own morality/humanity. i guess it can get a little impressionistic at times or take liberties with its technical side, but it never bothered me enough to take away from the show's focus. i didn't even notice how silly this scene was until it was isolated.
and i should think there are plenty of cop shows on now that'll stroke your fragile SoD. I can't wait for season 4's DICK SOLOMON: SUPER KILLER
The first 2 seasons were really good. I read the plot synopsis of the 3rd season and decided not to watch it. I'll probably go back because it's a decent show.
