phalsebob - 2009-07-11 Yea, basically the balloon is a shell that represents the role we adopt in life and in doing so we encapsulate our nothingness, and by responding to that nothingness as a thing which we might adopt a stance toward we give it Being and turn nothingness into Nothingness. In this we can recognise our authentic selves, and 'pop' our shells, but ironically in removing this false shell we remove the boundary which differentiates us from the world, thus showing us that the authentic self does not exist except in opposition to the inauthentic.
