Dear God, do I hate everything about 'Squidbillies'. Two minutes of obvious, unfunny jokes centered around a poorly done regional stereotype. Do yourself a favor: go watch 'Horse Apples' instead.
I don't know, Squidbillies always did a good job reminding me of the southern component to my family. But, some people just don't like satire.
It's not satire I dislike, but rather the show's incompetence in everything it tries to do. It's a black hole of entertainment.

Wow...I've always presumed his name was Earl Lee. But, yeah, it's actually Early.
I never liked Squidbillies until I saw Unknown Hinson (the voice of Early) play live. It ain't the Drinky Crow show but its alright. By the way, Hinson was outstanding, he fucking shreds.
Just pretend Squidbillies is called the Unknown Hinson show and it's pretty great.
It was a wonderful surprise to learn that Unknown Hinson doesn't have to change his voice or personality much to portray Early Cuyler. Behind the lulz and ZANY, Squidbillies is at least as accurate a US cultural parody as King of the Hill.
Four stars for the song, one star for bass player abuse.
