Jennifer Connelly, David Bowie, Jim Henson... to many stars.

This is in honor of "MongoMcMichael submits Labyrinth Week"

Obviously, he failed to submit the best song in the movie.

You mean Trevor Jones' awesome synth intro to 'As the World Falls Down'?

I've always considered this scene a stain on an otherwise awesome film.

ProfessorChaos - 2009-07-26

You are wrong - that would be the ballroom scene.

i think it is the just the limit of technology at the time.

i mean, watching the scene right now, clearly the colors are a bit off. i know they are trying to showcase the brightness of the fire dancers, but still it screams blue screen. if jim henson were alive now, im sure the whole move would have been touched over and that fixed.

the fire dancers scared the bejesus out of me when i was little.

I don't think its just the technology.
I don't like this scene either, it doesn't fit the soundtrack or have anything to do with the rest of the movie.

and Choas MD, I used to fastforward through the ballroom scene as a kid too, but its actually quite good in context

This is a great scene -- the ballroom scene, on the other hand, always gets skipped. This was of course a much bigger pain back in the VHS days.
