i really doubt anyone on poetv thinks that.

I personally thought the book was pretty good bathroom reading, but I thought alot of his appeal was based on just how ultimately small he thinks himself after all the bro posturing and bad sex. alot of "learned" people seem to think that because over-entitled rich boys lead sad, misogynistic lives behind the curve of more progressive literature, that somehow their perspective isn't important anymore (after all, they're barely human!).

i think the Tucker Max book was fascinating, because for all the lame jokes and obvious exaggeration, it brings an actual witness to the Entourage-obfuscated fairy tale of sex-crazed white kids with too much money. it's not like it doesn't have an agenda, but what book can honestly claim that?

ps: this movie seems to contain 0% of that underlying self-awareness, and looks 5-star awful

I thought about it, but it's hard to really get into the mindset of a Tucker Max fan. Not ethically so much as finding it interesting.

Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks is quite ok, mostly for not trying to pretend that the characters were such "heartless bastards" or any other silly "hardcore" bullshit that this movie does seem to be eager to show.

When you TRY to make a movie about how badass you are, and you lose to John Belushi playing himself... you have epically failed.

At least "The Hangover" had a baby and a tiger in it.

Wanted is the only comic I've downloaded, then deleted. Not because I'm in any way short of disk space, but because it's an astonishing piece of shit.
