THA SUGAH RAIN - 2009-08-05

I own this book. People seem to have polar opinions of Tucker Max, but I thought it was hilarious.

"Thith remindth me of banking!" -THA SUGAH RAIN

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2009-08-05

Yeah thats it. The book about the law school student reminds me of banking. Because the two are exactly the same.

zatojones - 2009-08-05

the escapades of a bro don't interest me

FABIO - 2009-08-05

Tucker Max is pretty much Seanbaby's retarded unfunny frat cousin whose dad totally owns a dealership. Whereas Seanbaby is actually funny, Tucker Max's punchlines consist pretty much of "then I threw that dumb cunt out!" He caters to the target audience for "humiliation porn". His idea of hilarity is endlessly quoting Slingblade.

The sad part is at least 90% of his material is pure made up fiction, and it still isn't funny! How boring do you have to be when your made up party life sucks too?

Watch any clip of Seanbaby and you can tell he's a funny guy that brings the party with him. Watch a clip of Tucker Max on a radio show and you'll see no trace of the cocky shit he talks up, just an awkward bro fumbling words, talking about some chick he totally had sex with in the same slowly paced tone you'd hear from a felon trying to keep track of the story he's making up for the police.

Fuck Tucker Max. You can safely stop talking to anyone who loves his book and miss out on nothing.

These stars are for you, FABIO. Spend them on whatever your heart desires.

Riskbreaker - 2009-08-05

More stars for you Fabio.

BHWW - 2009-08-05

The only thing that would make this perfect would be an angry Tucker Max fan posting a tirade here about how we're all a bunch of politically correct pussies who hate Tucker Max because we're actually jealous of him and his bogus party-hearty lifestyle.

CornOnTheCabre - 2009-08-05

i really doubt anyone on poetv thinks that.

I personally thought the book was pretty good bathroom reading, but I thought alot of his appeal was based on just how ultimately small he thinks himself after all the bro posturing and bad sex. alot of "learned" people seem to think that because over-entitled rich boys lead sad, misogynistic lives behind the curve of more progressive literature, that somehow their perspective isn't important anymore (after all, they're barely human!).

i think the Tucker Max book was fascinating, because for all the lame jokes and obvious exaggeration, it brings an actual witness to the Entourage-obfuscated fairy tale of sex-crazed white kids with too much money. it's not like it doesn't have an agenda, but what book can honestly claim that?

ps: this movie seems to contain 0% of that underlying self-awareness, and looks 5-star awful

FABIO - 2009-08-05

Would that make Tucker Max the Carlos Mencia of bros?

Dr Dim - 2009-08-06

I thought about it, but it's hard to really get into the mindset of a Tucker Max fan. Not ethically so much as finding it interesting.

phalsebob - 2009-08-05

Animal House was by far the best and only movie of it's kind that should have been made.

Riskbreaker - 2009-08-05

Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks is quite ok, mostly for not trying to pretend that the characters were such "heartless bastards" or any other silly "hardcore" bullshit that this movie does seem to be eager to show.

Rum Revenge - 2009-08-05

When you TRY to make a movie about how badass you are, and you lose to John Belushi playing himself... you have epically failed.

At least "The Hangover" had a baby and a tiger in it.

FISTFULLofSOUL - 2009-08-05

Bag o'shite.

"This video has been removed by user."

Apparently he couldn't take all your criticisms, ya jerks!

FABIO - 2009-08-05

If you were ever curious what Tucker Max: The Comic book would look like, check out Wanted. Yes, the comic that the Angelina Joline movie was based on.

athodyd - 2009-08-05

Wanted is the only comic I've downloaded, then deleted. Not because I'm in any way short of disk space, but because it's an astonishing piece of shit.
