Is it live action or animated? Live action=Terrified.

Spielberg, huh? Assuming he completes filming by about 1981, it'll be terrific.

Live Action, it'd seem...or was it CG?

I read an interview with him on the subject of the movie about 4 or so years ago, and the enthusiasm and love for the subject matter was just dripping off him, but at the same time...yeah, I can't help but be rather terrified, myself.

But yes, Tintin = Automatic 5 Stars.

Herge himself chose Spielberg to make the film before he died. He'd hated the previous attempts at live-action TinTin movies, but he adored Raiders of the Lost Ark, and decided Spielberg was the man to do his characters justice.

The two were going to meet to iron out the details when Herge suddenly died. That set things back by a couple of decades.

The fact that Spielberg chose such a strong arc to make the movie from is a good sign. Crossing my fingers.

Spielberg will do a great job, actually. That's actually the sort of thing he's made to do. Movies about the Holocaust? Not so much.

And he doesn't have George Fucking Lucas as a co-collaborator on this one.

It is slated to be CG, but is now on hold.

It'd start out with a fight, but it'd end with them teaming up to take down an illegal logging ring.
