I will agree with you on the line about the guillotine, but I will disagree with you about the keylock; it's both an Americana and a keylock. Kimuras are also technically keylocks.

I think "extremely talented grappler" is taking it a little bit far, she's OK but far from great. Her striking is way ahead of her grappling. This was an exciting match but not really all that technically amazing, Cyborg pulled mount twice and Gina lost it again?!

I don't know shit about MMA, but that felt like a great fight. That was action movie quality. Carano looked like a really tough and smart fighter. She did look kinda scrawny though, and was fighting someone who really does look like she was grown in a vat on a secret military base. No shame losing to Ivan Drago there.

Your grip is actually the same for both an Americana and a Kimura. Even a toehold is technically a keylock. I wouldn't worry too much about it; I'd guess half the blue belts I train with don't know that.

Also, I swear I forgot to include "decent" before grappler. Her grappling is most definitely far behind her striking.

Many, many people on the sauce in MMA, not just to get bulky but to recover properly from training. In shows here all they care about is that you don't have hep or AIDS. Even in the UFC the testing only happens close to a fight usually, so they can time their cycles so all the metabolites are out of their system by the time they're tested. Josh Barnett just got done for steroids (again) because they happened to test him two weeks early. Not everyone is using but it's far from unusual.
