Final Fantasy sucks. It's always sucked. I'd sort of like to three or four star the idea of fat fucking anime nerds doing this but the sheer magnitude of awfulness that is FF and the blight it's left on RPGs forever force me to one star this.

Neverless, these nerds need to realize once and for all that Final Fantasy VII is so stuck in their brains mostly for nostalgia. It's the first rpg they played when they were like 12, better games have come out before and after that. Same thing with Zelda Ocarina of Time.

Keefu - 2009-08-25 Ocarina of Time was a huge leap forward in terms of presenting a huge, open 3D world to explore and adventure in. It also had a lot in the way of impressive art design, music, and atmosphere. We already had a discussion on POE-News proper about how why FF7 was impressive at the time too. Sure, nostalgia and nerds often go hand in hand but that doesn't mean there wasn't something to it originally. Snobby nerds are pretty tiresome themselves.
