Full Disclosure: Jenkins is in my district and I did vote for her in the 2008 election.
My reasons were that I was pretty miffed at Nancy Boyda's (the Democrat I helped elect in 2006) television ads about how the NAFTA SUPERHIGHWAY was going to SEND DRUGS AND WEAPONS INTO OUR SCHOOLS and TAKE OUR JOBS. Her reaching out to the moderate Republicans with a xenophobic approach was pretty low and I admit I got disenfranchised with her.
Also, with the deficit, I wanted a fiscal conservative that is a former state Treasurer and a CPA to help the House with the Budget.
Another thing, you have to understand our history with conservative Republicans to realize that this lady wasn't NEARLY as awful as Jim Ryan or Sam Brownback or Todd Tiahrt etc etc.
But alas, somebody I was responsible for putting in office is making herself a mockery of the great state of Kansas and a distraction from the issue of Health Care.
I whole-heartedly apologize. You beseech you to rate this 1-star in a effort to reconcile my vote.
