"bloody war"?!?! These people probably spend to much time on XBL playing gears of war or something. You can't say something that irresponsible while without having your sense of reality severely warped by abusing some-kind of form of entertainment.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2009-09-12 Was it Sam Huston who said that Texas is too small for a Republic, and too big for an insane asylum?
|
simon666 - 2009-08-31
Dear Texas,
Please stop threatening to secede, and do it already. There will not be a bloody fight to stop you, we'll let you go peacefully if you promise to never come back. However, if you do try and rejoin the union we will put you down like down a horse: without thought or guilty conscience.
Sincerely,
Everyone.

phalsebob - 2009-09-01 No, not at all. They have different ways. The whine and bitch about how no one recognises what unique snowflakes they are and threaten to secede. As with Texas, everyone wishes they would STFU already.

Binro the Heretic - 2009-08-31
Don't let Oklahoma hit you in the ass on your way out.

memedumpster - 2009-08-31
Come on, Mexico, just take the fucker back already.

Louis Armstrong - 2009-08-31
They want to secede? How can they, they don't even have a basement at the Alamo. What chance do they have on thier own?
|
Jeff Fries - 2009-09-01
Texas is this close to cutting anchor and floating off into the Gulf of Mexico to join the other seceded states in the Caribbean
|
dead_cat - 2009-09-01
Pardon me if I fail to see how a bunch of people who are such pussies that they respond to losing an election by deciding to secede would do a good job of it. If Texas seceded, I guarantee you that less than a decade later, Mexico would be building fences like crazy to just to keep all the Texies out.
|
|
dead_cat - 2009-09-01 More like Texas would sell it's soul to Mexico for an inter-country work arrangement program.
Texas is NOT self-sufficient at the quality of life it's currently used to; to secede would mean everyone having to tighten their belts considerably. To *succeed* would mean everyone having to work together in a way that is pretty much alien to American culture, and would probably make these Texans cry like even bigger bitches since such a way of life would be far closer to SOCIALISM/COMMUNISM/DEMON WORSHIP that what's making them so weepy now.

Can Austin stay? Or how about San Antonio?
You can keep Houston.
|
teethsalad - 2009-09-01 i'll allow austin to be run like cold war era west berlin, airlifts and all
|
simon666 - 2009-09-01 It's all right guys, Austin doesn't really have anything that the union doesn't already have. We can setup political asylum for those who need it.

Consider a simple addition of large black balls to the backend of the cannon on the "Come and Take It" banner.
You know where I'm going with this.

Hooper_X - 2009-09-01
Holy shit, around 2:02 someone shouts "REMEMBER WACO somethin somethin somethin"
And yes, Texas can leave anytime they like. Go for it. Do it. Just remember, when you do, the U.S. government is taking all its shit and leaving, like the military infrastructure. You don't think we'd just let you guys have all those tanks and jets and shit, do you?
