Comeuppance - 2009-09-06
5 stars of timeliness. I've had the "get it up, get up" etc part stuck in my head for two days, and I've been going through my music trying to find what song it was from.

Old_Zircon - 2009-09-06 I've been listening to this whole album a lot for the last month or two. I'd forgotten all about them, and hadn't paid much attention even before that. Big mistake.

The world needs more of these two.
Mike Judge should totally do another B&B movie.

I'm not sure what's more 90's, this or Groove is in the Heart.
|
godot - 2009-09-07 This. This, like a lot of bands, apes the Red Hot Chili Pepper's muscular funk. Meanwhile euro-dance that owed nothing to Deee-lite ruled the clubs in the early 90s.
Lots of other options among near one-hit wonders: "The Power", "I'm Too Sexy", "Cannonball", "Macarena", "Loser", "Lovefool", "Tubthumping" (not to mention usual suspects like "Teen Spirit" or "Closer").
|
Old_Zircon - 2009-09-07 I don't know, have you heard the rest of the album? In context, this is, if RHCP related at all, definitely parody.

I figured I'd outgrow Beavis & Butthead pretty quick but 14 years later they're still pretty much my internal narrators.

5 stars for one of the things that confirmed my bisexuality. Braces, dresses and trampolines... oh my.
