I was hoping for some interesting glitches, but i will settle for the triumphant music. Also, i think this is the SNES "Super Mario All Stars" Version of the game, not the NES version as the tags might suggest. Also, love for the Wall-E tag.

Old_Zircon - 2009-09-10

It is definitely the SNes version.

dementomstie - 2009-09-10

yeah, this is definitely the SNES or GBA version of Super Mario Bros. 2. And, wow, obsessive much?

glasseye - 2009-09-10

Could definitely use the OCD tag.

Jeff Fries - 2009-09-10

That's Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream overture

Colonel Cowlung - 2009-09-10

A triumph of the human spirit.

-1 because this reminds me of that terrible obsessive feeling which video games sometimes give me.

EvilHomer - 2009-09-10

I used to do obsessive stuff like this too, only it was in King Arthur's World, with Engineers and Barrels.

SixDigitDebt - 2009-09-10

So I take it this gentleman has no lady friend?

Old_Zircon - 2009-09-10

It actually kind fo hurts my eyes to look at this, so 5 stars

Hooker - 2009-09-10

YAY Wall-E tag!

cognitivedissonance - 2009-09-10

The human spirit triumphs again!

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-09-10

Every video game player has done something like this at least once in their life.

For me, it was methodically wiping out every single building and unit, including my own, in Command & Conquer.

Hooker - 2009-09-10

I do this every time I play Master of Orion II.

Xenocide - 2009-09-10

In Final Fantasy IV, I spent hours upon hours trying to obtain the ultimate armor, despite the fact that it only has like a one in 300 chance of spawning each time you enter the final dungeon.

I didn't even NEED the fucking thing, my levels were high enough that I could spank Zeremas just as easily without it. I just wanted the thing. Man, 5th grade was weird.

ProfessorChaos - 2009-09-10

What are you talking about, Xeno? I thought the best armor was the stuff you had to whoop Dark Bahamut for. Do I need to fire up my DS copy of 4 again?

Xenocide - 2009-09-11

I don't know how it is in the DS version, but in the original SNES game the strongest armor can only be had via fighting the pink puffs. Pink puffs are blob monsters who can only be found in a single small room of the final dungeon; and they're really rare, you can pace around that room for hours without running into them.

If you do manage to fight them, they'll drop an item which you can trade to a guy in one of the towns for the ultimate armor. Problem is, that item only has a 1 in 64 chance of dropping.

I just checked on GameFAQS, and they said the actual odds of getting this armor are 1 in 4,096. I got lucky, it only

Xenocide - 2009-09-11

(stupid return key) it only took me a few hundred tries. Yay?

fluffy - 2009-09-11

Odds of 1 in 4096 means that you have a 5% chance of getting it after 200 attempts.

B_Ko - 2009-12-02

Misadventures of Tron Bonne: In the farm level, methodically collecting 99 Birdbots.

That's right. I'm the one person that bought the Misadventures of Tron Bonne.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2009-09-10

Cute.

Udderdude - 2009-09-10

Achievement unlocked: Too many fucking mushrooms

Old_Zircon - 2009-09-10

"Because it's there" tag?

Jeriko-1 - 2009-09-10

Somebody help! Stop Mario, he'll kill us all!

sammitch - 2009-09-10

this symbolizes the human condition

Xenocide - 2009-09-10

Auto-five for Wall-E tag.

This is insane and pointless but then again so are video games in general. Therefore, I declare this person a winner.

athodyd - 2009-09-10

Video games are bad for you.

Camonk - 2009-09-10

I think this one a them emergent behaviors I hear so much about.

If so, guys, stop worrying about those things so much.

craptacular - 2009-09-11

needs more Ullillillia

phydeaux - 2009-09-11

the fact that this even works is a real testament to programmer skill

fluffy - 2009-09-14

SMB2 only has to keep track of blocks that are in motion, which there's only ever one of. When a block is sitting still it is just part of the background rather than an active object.

Jet Bin Fever - 2009-09-11

Bottom's Theme from a Midsummer Night's Dream by Mendelssohn. Well used!

revdrew - 2009-09-11

Don't let Knuckles see this.

Knuckles - 2009-09-13

Why wouldn't you want me to see a video I made???

FABIO - 2009-09-30

He could have saved about a half hour with Toad instead.

Green - 2009-11-26

5 stars for the comment

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2009-11-02
