I don't know why they're surprised, though. Like Aladdin was an example of positive Middle-Eastern stereotypes, or how the Hawaiian family in Lilo & Stitch spent all day surfing and shit. And the Little Mermaid? "Triton" is basically the Atlantean "Jose".
