"How do you make a song?" is up there with "where do you get your ideas?" for dumbest and most awkward questions to ask anyone ever.

What do they expect as an answer? "I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED! I USE THIS MIRACULOUS MACHINE OVER HERE!"

No, they cobble together thoughts and experiences from the past, combine it with the skill in question, and make something they like out of it.

5 for Sigur Rós and tangible awkwardness.

Really? Because I don't think it's dumb at all. Every songwriter or band has its own way of coming up with songs. Some people start with improve. Some people start with interesting chords. Some people start with a lyrical idea. These guys are simply refusing to share anything with the audience about themselves, so why did they agree to be on the show?

As much as I love this band, they come off as a bunch of douche bags here. The only other explanation is drug-induced paranoia.

I don't think most of the questions were out of line. Standard fare, really. They're just huge antisocial nerds. Did you really expect Sigur Ros to not be that way? They have an album called ().

This is the worst band interview on the site. That one with the emo band where the guy actively didn't know a fucking thing about them was at least entertaining as the band actively started mocking the guy. This one goes into full-on boring and awkward, instead of hilariously awkward.
