Was the 70s the last decade of the truly great Sci Fi film. Blade runner was '82, Terminator was '84 (which was more a suspense than Sci Fi film) and I can't think of much after that. Maybe I'm just a cranky old bastard.
Anyway, Dark Star was damn fine, Mr. Snothouse.

phalsebob - 2009-10-06 Yea, but Road warrior was '81... almost the 70's, and post apocalyptic isn't what I call SciFi (although technically it is I suppose). Certainly Aliens was a great space SciFi though.

I love this movie. Trying to talk a sentient bomb out of exploding was one the most brilliant ideas ever.
Sadly, this is one of the few movies that I can get other people to watch. Always lose 'em at the beachball.
