This anime is about a bunch of magical girls who couldn't afford any actual transformation sequences, and had to make do with just getting undressed when they fight. The series featured many, many shots of the villains glancing away in uncomfortable silence as the girls prepared for battle. The beach and hot springs episodes are just twenty-odd minutes of everyone standing around confused.

In the end, they were defeated by public decency laws.

The sad thing is there are plenty of wacko anime fans who consider this not only one of the best series to come out of Holy Nippon, but perhaps THE best anime series. Ever. And they're ready to fight with people on the internet over it.
