It's a dupe, but a worthy one.
Because Japan's culture is superior, not repressed to the point of ridicule that its obsessions squirt out every which way like toothpaste from a tube in a pneumatic vise. Its animated stories are so obviously filled with more depth and meaning than anything that has ever been created by non-Japanese.

I like how they went full-bore with the metaphor. I mean, what is the hawk going to do with a pair of panties? It'll probably wear them, I imagine, since it's a Japanese hawk.

was almost wondering if this was the final editor's practical joke by replacing the bird CGI macro with panties....but then I quickly realize Japan, then I knew this was intended

Our natural assumption is that the Japanese possess no irony. This is obviously incorrect, and their irony is superior to our own.

What the fuck is this show even about?

|
oogaBooga - 2009-10-29 The alien ships are holographically disguised as panties, obviously. Its all coming together now.

MrBuddy - 2009-10-30 Don't ask how I know (I haven't seen it) but Sora no Otoshimono is about a high school kid. He dreams a woman from hidden, floating country in the sky tells him to take care of something important to her. The next day he has an angelic creature/robot following him around and granting him anything he wishes for. You can watch this show for free @ http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/Sora_No_Otoshimono
And now I know what my underwear dreams of when it's laying in my drawer.

5 stars because this clip somehow convinces everyone in here that Japanese pop culture is superior to American pop culture.
Despite the fact that someone noted that Japanese culture led to pixels becoming a fetish because of their disallowing public hair and genitalia even inside their pornographic films.
I remain unconvinced.
