Ugh, this always seemed to me like the least funny thing that he did. Someone should submit the thing where he bitches out the drunk heckling woman in the audience. "WHY DON'T YOU GET A SOUL?!!"
That being said, this bit still shines through as an example of his seeming fearlessness and humanity. He was awesome.
He wasn't the funniest comedian, but he was one of the most personal. And back then the funniest comedian was Sam Kinison, nowadays he seems hilariously dated and wrong but Hicks was pretty much right all the time.
