Wasn't a certain Italian plumber merely an insurgent supporting a regime change in the Mushroom Kingdom?

Jefka - 2009-11-13

Yeah, but it was justified since King Koopa had just recently nationalized the Mushroom Kingdom's oil wells.

Toenails - 2009-11-13

Is it ever appropriate to simulate killing people? Of course not, dumb fuck. That's why we have REAL armies and not fake ones.

Also, way to go FOX. You really did quite a great job at picking someone that is completely incapable at putting forth a solid argument on why you shouldn't panic over your latest CRISIS OF CULTURE (tm).

RocketBlender - 2009-11-13

I noticed that too. I'm a pretty big nerd and I've never heard of that guy or his site. also like how they gave him the 'final word' before the FOX announcer cut him off and ended the segment with his point.

Xenocide - 2009-11-13

He's clearly some random nobody they plucked out of obscurity, either because the legit gaming press won't talk to them anymore, or because they wanted someone with zero media savvy who would make an idiot of himself.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-11-13

His biggest mistake was taking the other two people seriously.

James Woods - 2009-11-13

Was John Christianson going to puke, or was he high?

MaulLove - 2009-11-13

I think there are small demons pestering him off camera.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2009-11-13

There is literally nothing that can stop an 8 year old from coming into my house and being a terrorist.

oogaBooga - 2009-11-13

THE CHALKY SCOURGE IS APONKST US

Louis Armstrong - 2009-11-13

"Dusty old bones, filled with green dust!, Hey White shirt! how'd you get your shirt so white, White Shirt!" Terrorism at its finest!

phalsebob - 2009-11-13

If I can't pick up hookers and then beat them to death for their cash it's not violent enough.

RocketBlender - 2009-11-13

This whole thing really pissed me off. Nothing annoys me quite like fox. Thank god for you guys in the comments section.

Cleaner82 - 2009-11-13

"Your character is not really a terrorist, he's a deep cover CIA agent. Performing, uh. Heinous terrorist acts."

Not the best line of argument to start out on I must say, token videogame goober.

Sudan no1 - 2009-11-13

Fox squanders yet another opportunity to connect with their future audience.

RocketBlender - 2009-11-13

I was thinking about that. It's like they don't think republicans would like to play military-style shooters.

Maggot Brain - 2009-11-13

I like how they are both sitting in front of a San Fransisco backdrop.

Doctor Arcane - 2009-11-13

Man, I wish I had a better videocard.

voodoo_pork - 2009-11-13

"Allows you to be a terrorist and kill people."

Yeah, it's called Counter-Strike, dipshit.

Frank Rizzo - 2009-11-13

"theres a gaaaaame.... that lets yooooooouuu.... kill pee-pull"

RockBolt - 2009-11-13

I figured the handwringing would be over getting to collaterally blow up the WWII memorial, but I guess one of these sods would actually have to play it to figure that out

kwash - 2009-11-19

He could've just used the argument of violence in movies.

Should we ban violent movies because they might inspire
violence in children? Of course not, parents should go to the store with their kids, check the ratings on the boxes and decide what's appropriate for their children. Which is exactly what they should do with video games.

It pains me to see such an obvious point not being used in favor of "You're actually an undercover CIA agent! Oh yeah, and I guess you get to do terrorist stuff sometimes, too."

BorrowedSolution - 2012-02-09

If your 8 year old can figure out how to play MW2, you're already fucked!
