Anyone else think of Oregon Trail while watching this?

Water Buffalo and Pigs/boars are not native species to Australia AFAIK, which is about the only thing that makes this acceptable to me in any way.

This video makes it look like a fat man ran around an enclosed pen stuffed with captive animals and SHOT EVERY FUCKING THING HE COULD SEE. It's like he's a real-life MMORPG power-leveling bot, not even stopping to loot his kills. Shoot an animal, run away to the next animal, rinse, repeat. Then catch a chopper to the next mob camp.

Not my idea of fun but if he wants to come here and pay to kill pest animals (which buffalo and pigs are), good luck to him. The meat won't be wasted, I'm not sure I really see the problem to be honest.

Killing 20+ feral pigs in Australia is a noble task. The biggest problem is that he isn't shooting "cute" wild rabbits which are the #1 pest to AUS Agriculture (pigs #2).

Frankly I just think it's funny that you can see his fat ass lumbering around in the video and he still has the audacity to call himself "the ultimate hunting machine." Kraven the Hunter you are not, sir.

I remember ordering one of these DVDs about a year ago after seeing a video on here. Upon receiving it I was like "holy shit now these assholes know my address." Since then I've moved and have made no attempt to update any of my forwarding information from the USPS

To the hunters:
Isn't it a good deal more difficult ensuring a head-shot or loading a large enough charge to ensure a one-shot kill with a handgun (rather than scoped longarm)? At what point would this become an ethical a problem for you: hunting with a small-cal Derringer?

Running around and shooting things in an enclosed area, even if it's large is not really hunting. It's sport which I personally do not approve.

Hunting is going out into the woods/forest tracking your prey and taking a shot. Then probably tracking it again because it fucking ran off. Point is it's more challenging than being some wanker running around a predetermined enclose outcome. There is no challenge.

I say we put him in a pen and "hunt" him. Now that would be good fun.

Steps to becoming the Ultimate Hunter:

1) Wear embarrassing shorts

2) Shoot animals that aren't moving

This explains all the skulls and dead bigs in his videos.

He looks like a giant asshole just running around blowing away placid game animals that are obviously habituated to human presence.

As far as shooting animals is concerned it really depends on the circumstances.

In either 2005 or 2006 in the province I live, there was a cull ordered for 10,000 deer because they were breeding like flies and increasing the proliferation rate of chronic wasting disease amongst game animals.

Its one thing to cull a population of animals so as to stem the spread of a disease that thrives with overpopulation, its entirely another to go around senselessly blasting away animals that are only a couple rungs away from being farm animals due to their acclimation to human beings.
