Reminder that stepping .oooo1 feet outside of New Orleans around here is dangerous to one's sanity.

Riskbreaker - 2009-11-22

Could somebody point another country in the planet where this "issue" takes place? Where people wants schools to teach that god created everything?

Cena_mark - 2009-11-22

Its not an issue anywhere else. Teaching creationism isn't an issue in the middle east because teaching that Allah created the universe is the only way to teach that won't get your head cut off.

kingarthur - 2009-11-22

Yes, but Middle Eastern culture views science as part of God's creation and therefore worth studying, not ignoring. Familiarize yourself with the falaysufs. They don't turn out scads of engineers for nothing.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-11-22

Actually it's becoming a problem in certain Eastern European countries with lots of backwater hicks as well.

Oh and stars for the Post Christian Nation...let's make this shit happen, already.

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference - 2009-11-22

At least Allah taught them to wash their fucking hands and use the number zero.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-11-22

We don't deserve to be a superpower.

James Woods - 2009-11-22

Truth.

bongoprophet - 2009-11-22

as long as you admit it from time to time, we'll still love you

pressed peanut sweepings - 2009-11-22

Does any country?

splatterbabble - 2009-11-22

PPS, I'm pretty sure Malawi should get its turn as a superpower.

Camonk - 2009-11-22

Nobody deserves which I guess means that we at least deserve it as much as anybody else.

Turn-taking would be awesome. We just hand over all our tanks and planes and shit to the next in line, tip our metaphorical hat, and say, "Have fun."

Big Name Celebrity - 2009-11-22

I cannot wait for Sierra Leone's turn.

Hooker - 2009-11-22

Creationism isn't a scientific explanation of the universe, and thus it's not taught in science. It's that straightforward.

My favourite part is when the reporter at 1:00 goes from the church at night to the school at day. I believe she walked all the way, keeping the sentence she wanted to finish in her mind, and it was day by the time she arrived.

Desidiosus - 2009-11-22

I'll just assume this guy got dropped on his head as a baby.

phalsebob - 2009-11-22

"We're ruling out anything outside of nature...."

No! No you fucking hick. All explanations don't have to be natural, just science... oh you know what, forget it.

humbert_humbert - 2009-11-22

1:02 move over cut scene. What a good idea that move was.

Xenocide - 2009-11-22

Wow, that church sure is packed.

Cheese - 2009-11-22

He's in Louisiana, what fucking 'elites' is he ralkng about, folks with indoor plumbing?

kingarthur - 2009-11-22

Me. I look down upon his general direction. Also: I have indoor plumbing.

Also also: this is the kind of crap that leads to bullshit "science" like Frank Tipler (who should be sent packing out of Tulane for his crap).

Mordant - 2009-11-22

Wow. That was some shitty one sided reporting. It's not legal to teach creationism in public schools you dumb bitch. Also, would it have killed you to talk to an actual scientist?

I did like the transition from the church to the school though.

heyitslozeau - 2009-11-22

That's great!

but it's a fucking science class, god isnt science! Dont fucking teach it in science class!

that simple.

Dib - 2009-11-23

GAH! She's a witch! Burn her!

kwash - 2009-12-20

It still boggles my mind that the same people who'll say we have to uphold our founding father's values also say that America needs to go back to being a christian nation.

woodenbandman - 2011-04-25

one of these days I'm going to go into a sunday mass and preach science.
