Being in a foreign country, it's really the most useful way to get in touch and organize a social life with folks that speak the same language, literally. It's a tool. These games that crap it up, however, are easily ignorable and those who ever thought to pay money to ANY online game, or at least one not backed by a company like blizzard or whatever, are idiots that don't deserve their own money. If you get spammed, you click delete and you are done. The end and facebook itself is still useful.
