I am annoyed by how funny these guys aren't.

splatterbabble - 2009-11-28

If people don't like these, how do the make it out of the hopper?

Hodge - 2009-11-28

How did George W. Bush get elected twice?

splatterbabble - 2009-11-29

A: He didn't.

James Woods - 2009-12-19

Great job!

poorwill - 2009-11-28

Sometimes they're okay.

poorwill - 2009-11-28

WHO DID IT?

poorwill - 2009-11-28

CHALKDUST I SEE YOU.

kennydra - 2009-11-28

My Tim and Eric humor sense must be totally off from the rest of poeTV because this is one of the few that I have ever found funny, and I've watched an awful lot of these guys since a bunch of my friends are super into it and and force me through episode after grueling episode. I actually laughed at this one though!

Bacon_Lung - 2009-11-28

agreed. this one is going on the masturbation bookmark list!

andyweak - 2009-11-28

I agree as well. I had one of those oooo I get it. Same thing happened after two episodes of mr. show and thought it was genious. Not sure if it will happen with this show.

oogaBooga - 2009-11-28

He'll rape ya!

oogaBooga - 2009-11-28

FUCK THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 1 STAR

I have to stop the copious five starring, it's becoming habit.

Toenails - 2009-11-28

Here ooga, we'll trade. I'll take that 5 star rating and you can have this 1 star rating.

Premium? I'd say Cream-ulum!

Hooker - 2009-11-28

So are they supposed to be satirists? I really don't understand this terrible show.

baleen - 2009-11-28

HA!

Let me explain it to you:

1. Tim & Eric are video nerds who make editor jokes for other video nerds.

2. Their humor is unique in that they are the first people to fully embrace the public access aesthetic, the look of dying technology. If you grew up watching more public access than you did normal TV, you'd like them more.

3. They take American kitsch and turn it into something wonderful.

4. They take nobodies from the dregs of Hollywood and turn them into celebrities, to humorous effect (maybe it's exploitation, but not so much as laughing at a seriously autistic man with a Sonic the Hedgehog obsession). It's like what Andy Warhol or Paul Morrissey would do if they were comedians, without the service of rich people or the pretense of Andy Warhol and Paul Morrissey.

5. This is what baleen sounds like when walks in the room.

Hooker - 2009-11-28

Sounds like I was correct to one-star this.

Camonk - 2009-11-28

No, this was better than one-star.

baleen's fuckin' epic poem about how great they are deserves one star, though.

infinite zest - 2009-11-28

actually Mr. Show did most of what you said 15 years ago. Regardless, this is funny. A lot of Tim & Eric is funny. A lot of Tim & Eric is not funny. This is funny.

Candlejackv616 - 2009-11-28

Baleen's fuckin' epic poem about how great they are deserves five stars, though.

Enjoy - 2009-11-28

baleen is right

When I watch Tim and Eric I understand how bad the TV was I used to watch.

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2009-11-28

Also what's great about them is every time a REAL celebrity appears on the show, they make them look terrible (ex: Dave Navarro). Nice inversion to the traditional path in which celebrities are treated as gods.

fluffy - 2009-11-28

So we're supposed to like them because they remind us of terrible things by being terrible?

This one started out funny but very quickly got run into the ground.

baleen - 2009-11-28

I actually don't have to defend Tim and Eric, I just have to join the Republican party.

Do you see what you are doing to america. do you understand.

YOU HAVE LOST THE HIPSTERS. YOU LOST MERLE HAGGARD. AND NOW YOU HAVE LOST THE HIPSTERS.

MongoMcMichael - 2009-11-28

A thirty second joke stretched and distended like a Brazilian porn star's sphincter. Plus one for semi-effective editing.

pot kettle black - 2009-11-28

A thirty second joke stretched to ninety seconds!

athodyd - 2009-11-28

THREE

Stog - 2009-11-28

bluh

phalsebob - 2009-11-28

Next Tim and Eric sketch is about one One Star vs Five Star.

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2009-11-28

People didn't like Andy Kaufman either

glasseye - 2009-11-28

The difference is that Andy didn't really care if people found him funny. These guys are desperately trying to get laughs, and failing utterly.

StanleyPain - 2009-11-28

Yes, it is clearly a sign of failure when you have a TV show going on 5 seasons.

glasseye - 2009-11-28

A successful TV show is a remarkably low bar to meet.

StanleyPain - 2009-11-28

If you don't think they're funny, whatever, but they're very successful. Therefore, not failures. It's pretty easy math.

I hate Dane Cook, but I wouldn't call him a "failure."

baleen - 2009-11-28

"

THATS WHY THEY WENT ON A PARADE AND THREW RAW HOTDOGS AT PEOPLE

THEN GOT HOTDOGS AND ROCKS THROWN AT THEM

YOU KNOW NOTHING OF WHICH YOU SPEAK

glasseye - 2009-11-28

Well, they certainly fail to get laughs out of me. I've yet to see anything of theirs that is remotely entertaining. It's like amateur night at the comedy club. Just painful.

baleen - 2009-11-29

amateur night at the comedy club.

yes, yes, I think you have sensed some of the shit they have stepped in, yes...

glasseye - 2009-12-02

So it's funny if you like really awkward parodies of stuff that sucks? Is that their gimmick?

Stupid Lisa Garbage Face - 2009-11-28

If it was 20 or 30 seconds long ok.. it goes from funny to not funny...... but not back

13.5 - 2009-11-28

These people are capable of very good work

The Townleybomb - 2009-11-28

If Tim and Eric weren't comic geniuses, how would a simple sketch like this be able to inspire so much debate? People didn't get James Joyce, either.

zatojones - 2009-11-28

got real stupid real quick

voodoo_pork - 2009-11-28

I five star this SO FUCK ALL YOU.

cognitivedissonance - 2009-11-28

5 big, fat, slobbery stars to stupefy and amaze all who gaze upon them.

RomancingTrain - 2009-11-28

Hi, me momo Tim Heidecker.

thebaronsdoctor - 2009-11-28

Funnier than their usual work, but a bit overdone.

I've never really enjoyed Tim and Eric all that much. Their jokes are funny in theory but I find the execution is too often lacking.

KnowFuture - 2009-11-28

When it's favorited a bunch of times and there's a bunch of people one-starring it, you know it's Tim & Eric time
in ol' PoeTV-ville.
