This bomb was developed and tested BEFORE the US started sharing nuclear designs with the British (1957 vs 1958). The British demonstrating understanding of the Teller-Ulam design was what spurred us to share our smaller, more efficient bomb designs with them.

This is why I honestly can't get too scared about any of the potential end-of-world scenarios they throw around these days. Total nuclear war was just so much more horrible.
