I always pictured the man behind the Mallard as more a crotchety old gold-hoarding one-eyed toothless geezer. Nice to see that he is as unfunny in real life as his wretched cartoon.

I like how he pretends it takes some kind of work or creative exercise to make the comic.

He once managed to publish basically the same, identical "joke"
4 or 5 weeks in a row before anyone notice.

"Research." He wants us to believe he does hours of research.

Replace "research" with "whiskey" and perhaps there's some truth to that.

That "Day By Day" comic is even worse. (In fact it is the worst.)

This man has my dream job. Spend most of your day sitting on the internet drunkenly reading the news. Then draw daffy duck in a suit spouting republican talking points.

Profit.

In crazy Republican land, where up is down and black is white and everything is topsy-turvy, never failing to hit an extremely low creative standard is something to be proud of.

Mallard Fillmore may suck but there are plenty of liberal comics that suck. La Cucarracha pisses me off the most. Especially how it self righteously chastises anybody for enforcing our immigration laws as a racist.

I think they purposely make the "funnies" not funny.

The only way to get your comic published is to meet a certain standard of bland archie-style forgetfulness.

I never heard of this comic, so I looked it up, read two of them, and vowed never to read it again. It was boring as fuck.

Good to see his still has the old fire in the belly!

I always liked to think that this was a direct response to Mallard Fillmore.
