Did they actually procure the Cheers set for this?

freedoom - 2009-12-11

All the sets these guys make are fantastic. the Seinfeld and Star Trek ones were both fantastic and very faithful to the original sets. same with the the costumes. I have a lot of respect for them.

freedoom - 2009-12-11

Actually i think Star Trek was another production company but still it's sets and costumes were very faithful.

zatojones - 2009-12-11

I appreciate the effort they put into this.

Hay Belly - 2009-12-11

For about 5 minutes at a time.

rapsnacks - 2009-12-12

That's how long it takes you huh.

Hay Belly - 2009-12-12

If it's the first time watching a good scene hell yeah

Not this dreck though

Stopheles - 2009-12-11

Thick chick as Lilith Crane.

Twenty stars.

Pillager - 2011-05-12

Alexis Texas never disappoints.

memedumpster - 2009-12-11

This cannot possibly get less than five stars. This is inspired.

The Townleybomb - 2009-12-11

At last, someone has the sense to appeal to the endless desire of American Men to see somebody jizz on Rhea Pearlman.

stage - 2009-12-12

Its about time!

Riskbreaker - 2009-12-11

I salute these people.

godot - 2009-12-11

That they chose Shelley Long era over Kirstie Alley era is a relief (and a pleasure?)

FABIO - 2009-12-11

To this day I still don't get Cheers and why it's considered so iconic. Were sitcoms just THAT bad up until then?

godot - 2009-12-11

Sitcoms have always been usually bad, but Cheers stood out in its day by setting (it wasn't a family sitcom, nor did it espouse moral lessons) and by having likeable self-deprecating regulars, rather than targets of endless ridicule.

On the other hand, the main reason I watched it as a teen is that I wanted Shelly Long as a dom mistress. When she left, the show did nothing for me.

twinkieafternoon - 2009-12-12

Just shut up and take me!

Two things about "Cheers":

1) It was probably the first sitcom centered on whether the man and woman would get together, where both the man and the woman were equals. Both Sam and Diane could give as good as they got; it wasn't about the one pursuing the other so much as the two of them pursuing each other. Even the positioning of their names in the credits -- upper right vs. lower left -- was intended to not give one billing over the other.

2) The show morphed into a good ensemble comedy, so by the time the Sam / Diane thing started to get stale, the show was already something else.

Camonk - 2009-12-11

That Woody was dynamite! If anything on this site deserves five stars, it's this.

FABIO - 2009-12-12

Almost balanced out by the terrible Cliff and Fraiser's hair.

punch drunk babies - 2009-12-12

Huh, this one's actually titled Cheers: A XXX Parody unlike This Ain't Star Trek or This Ain't (fill in the blank)

cognitivedissonance - 2009-12-12

It occurs to me that these are the perfect answer for hiding porn in plain sight on your DVD shelf. Nobody gives a shit about your collection of Cheers DVDs to look closely enough.

snothouse - 2009-12-12

I love the bizarre idea of porn celeb cameos, like it's a 70's Christmas special. (Al a Alexis Texas)

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-12-12

I am slightly suspicious that Mr. Pete is not that actor's real name.

baleen - 2009-12-12

This has a great cast.

Jellyneck - 2009-12-17

Someone, somewhere has busted a nut in a cliff claven sex fantasy

JimL2 - 2009-12-30

Featuring Otto Bauer's Christopher Lloyd impression, as Frasier Crane. Holy shit this is ridiculous. (And I think those laughs are from the same SFX record used in Lasagna Cat)
