James Woods - 2009-12-15

See guys! Everything is going to be just fine. :)

Frank Rizzo - 2009-12-15

quite a conundrum

Sputum - 2009-12-15

If we were mermen we'd have these in place of cats. Let's start our lives over in the oceans so that our descendants might have gills.

Under the sea
In an octopus's garden
In the shade

Johnny Madhouse - 2009-12-15

The article says that the researchers claim this is the first documented tool use in octopi, but that is completely wrong. I mean, we have a video on here already documenting the same behavior.

My dad has seen this too, while diving in the Caribbean. He says that it was delightful: an octopus carrying two shells like suitcases, and setting up its house in a few seconds whenever it stopped to rest.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-12-15

Who is the cutest widdle invertebrate with an extra large brain. You are! You made that house all by yourself, didn't you? Do you want a hug oh look at your suction cups mmmpth mmph mmm mmm mmmph mmmpth.

MrBuddy - 2009-12-15

I guess you could say, "Camera captures clever coconut-carrying cephalopod" but the the last word sounds wrong.

Adham Nu'man - 2009-12-15

Steampunk octopus!!!

garcet71283 - 2009-12-15

Learned behavior or instinct. Discuss.

Bacon_Lung - 2009-12-15

did anyone else notice it attack the camera at the end?

Syd Midnight - 2009-12-15

No we're all pretty used to seeing giant slimy suckered tentacles on our monitors

oogaBooga - 2009-12-15

Octoclam or Clamopus? The way he walks with his little tentacles is just.. darling.

cognitivedissonance - 2009-12-15

Only Megaman can save us now.

memedumpster - 2009-12-15

Cocopus uses clever housing technique to bait and devour nature photographers.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-12-15

I'm crazy for cocopus!

mouser - 2009-12-15

CRAP! That thing WALKED.

NOW I'm afraid. The moment they find lungs, we're ALL fucked.

Syd Midnight - 2009-12-15
