FIRE ANTS! ELECTRIC ATTACK BEES! FUCKING HUMONGOUS MUTANT PLANTS!!!

As if I didn't already have enough reasons to stay the hell away from the south.

Desidiosus - 2009-12-16

No kidding. Makes me glad we have ridiculous cold winters up here.

A shirt that has 'AC/DC' printed on it is not in fact a source of electricity. But killer energy bees are easily fooled.

The Mothership - 2009-12-16

This.

That actually depends on whether or not the wearer has been.....

THUNDER-STRUCK

MaulLove - 2009-12-16

Five stars for "the US as seen by the british" tag. It seems cleaner than the real US.

Syd Midnight - 2009-12-17

I liked it so much I went and linked the hell out of it

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-12-16

5 for the sound effects

kingofthenothing - 2009-12-16

yeah, the psychedelic magnetic wave thing did it for me.

twinkieafternoon - 2009-12-16

I lost it, paused the video, and almost couldn't restart it out of serious horror at about 1:57, when her hand just casually dove into a plate of ants to get the pizza. It was really difficult to watch for me.

oogaBooga - 2009-12-16

Microwaveable ants? Holy fuck.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2009-12-16

One of the things I hated about the south.

Black ants aren't too bad. The only time you have to worry about them is if its very rainy outside and they're looking for shelter. If you keep a clean house, that is.

Fire ants will invade your house regardless and the only way to really prevent them is to do a very strong pesticide perimeter around the house and prevent branches and trees from touching the rest of the house.

Black ants do bite, but they are pretty much painless and don't ever leave a mark.

Fire ants bite, bite, bite, keep biting you, then bite one last time to piss you off. And if you're not careful, fire ant bites will scar.

Hymenoptera is my favorite order name.

THIS PIZZA-EATER WILL BURN IN THE FIRES OF INFERNO

NineEleven - 2009-12-16

Yesss

memedumpster - 2009-12-17

Roaches also destroy machinery, not just in the south. Their favorite targets are the credit card scanners in restaurants and grocery stores.

:D

But yeah, fire ants are way worse. I like this video, it reminds us that we're all electric and wonderful.

Syd Midnight - 2009-12-17

Of course Australia has fire ants too, except they're an inch long and can leap.

Goofy Gorilla - 2009-12-18

Interesting. I've never seen fire ants invade a microwave, but they absolutely love to build enormous nests in neighborhood transformers. We thought it was because of little bit of heat they gave off as kids-- liking an electrical field is a pretty neat idea.

I haven't actually been bitten by a fire ant since I was twelve. By then I guess you learn how to avoid them somehow. It's funny how when people visit from out of town they often will get bit. I guess they don't realize that Georgia is a subtropical region and ants are found on every natural surface outdoors, so don't touch anything.

Tom Collins - 2011-04-26

I never knew transformers' kids were hot.

Thanks, I think.

Charles - 2010-01-29

The people in this video remind me of that woman in the old Twilight Zone episode who is attacked by tiny astronauts.

Bort - 2012-05-19

That was Agnes Moorehead, of "Citizen Kane" and "Bewitched".
