I really, really doubt an Irish devil would talk anyone out of drinking beer.

The Schultz and Dooley commercials are among my earliest memories. I may have been 3 or 4. I didn't know what beer was, had never seen a mug with a lid before, and I couldn't make out half of what Dooley was saying. I watched them jabber away with a fascination that always hovered at the edge of menace, trying to figure out if they could really talk, always suspecting that it was some kind of trick.

I have one of those beer steins with a face on it. It only talks when I am completely hammered and it has a Russian accent.
