FUCKING YES I AM SO GLAD THIS GOT THROUGH

This film makes so many modern movies look like pathetic attempts at recapturing surreality.

memedumpster - 2010-01-25

I love this movie and not even in a snarky "I hate this movie and all who like it which is why I love it" way.

Innocent Bystander - 2010-01-25

I love weird movies and I've always been intrigued by this, but after seeing the trailer I honestly don't know if I could handle it.

kwash - 2010-01-25

It's weird, but it's worth it for the cinematography alone.

APE_GOD - 2010-01-25

Anything in you that would be shocked by Jodorowski, the internet has already blunted, cauterized and removed.

This is easy mode. Our modern world is more bizarre than anything he could render.

Don't expect to be shocked by Salo, either.

Evilhead - 2010-01-25

One of the best movies ever made, and probably my favorite. For those of you who have already seen this many times, have you ever watched a version with commentary by Jodorowsky himself? He shines light on a lot of things you may have missed.

Orochi - 2010-01-25

Thanks for reminding me that I need to see this again Evilhead. I've watched it once, and I chose not to listen to the commentary so I could try and figure it out for myself. Did watch the extra about his Tarot influences. I'll put it right after El Topo on Netflix, since I still need to see that as well. Anything else of his anyone can recommend?

Rovin - 2010-01-25

Anchor Bay has a boxset that collects El Topo, Holy Mountain, and Fando Y Lis. http://www.amazon.com/Films-Alejandro-Jodorowsky-Fando-Mountain/dp /B000NY1E9E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1264434278&sr=1-1

Santa Sangre is supposed to be fantastic, but I don't think it's had a Region 1 release yet.

Macho Nacho - 2010-01-25

I know the whole Santa Sangre movie is up on Youtube.
Here's the first part if anyone's interested:

Hell yes, Macho Nacho, Muchos Gracias.

Macho Nacho - 2010-01-25

De nada.

Orochi - 2010-01-25

Well, I know what I'll be doing this evening.

Orochi - 2010-01-25

A great film, and I love the happy-go-lucky music in the trailer.

chumbucket - 2010-01-25

"is outside the tradition of criticism and review" so stop complaining

revdrew - 2010-01-25

This is a dupe but down voting anything to do with this film or Alejandro Jodorowsky is against my religion.

La Loco - 2010-01-25

I wonder if he'll ever complete that film with Marylin Manson.

thirteen3seven - 2010-01-25

I like how, shorn of context, the clips in the trailer are less insane than they are in the film itself.
