There is a great Siskel and Ebert review of this film that addresses the absurd repetition, but Google doesn't want me to find it.

i never saw this one, and i just always assumed officer lewis had only ever acted in robocops.
you learn something new every time some b actor dies i guess.

The lesson is pretty clear. If you have a kid, name her something short and simple in case she's ever kidnapped by ghosts.
