Apparently Fox cut the broadcast 20 minutes before it ended. That being said, this should've happened months ago.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-01-31 They also did a splice screen and had some dipshit talking head talk over Obama. Classy!

Ezra Klein; "the most compelling political television I've seen...maybe ever"
The thing I like is that Obama is actually substantive. A politician who can speak off the cuff with actual information that stands up to scrutiny is a rare creature.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-01-30 He even does a good job of answering the questions that aren't actually questions but people giving mini-speeches about how awesome being a Republican is.
|
pastorofmuppets - 2010-01-30 for example: everything that follows from 29:39 is amazing, especially the "Bolshevik plot" comment.

Holy cow... He has encyclopedic knowledge of the issues and has synthesized all of it. Its like the opposite of Sarah Palin.
It will be interesting to see which version Americans go for.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-01-30 Ever since she got the nomination for vice president, Sarah Palin's entire life has unwittingly revolved around ensuring that she never, ever becomes president.
Worrying about Sarah Palin becoming president is like worrying about Cobra Commander taking over the world.

The YouTube comments are screened...it's like some alternate universe where you can't get on the internet unless you know how to spell and say things without calling people a shithead.
Hell, the video is like that too. I wish this sort of thing was the rule rather than the exception.

Wow. That was an hour of Obama schooling Republicans in civility. The tone of the forum was pretty much how a teacher would speak to a classroom of students. Hopefully some of it sinks in.
I think the hardcore liberals are as much of a problem right now as any conservatives. I've been getting into arguments lately over Obama's effectiveness because they seem to prefer that he would emulate Bush and flat out dismiss the Republicans on every issue.

The need to do stuff like this has got to kill him. I see frustration and impatience being buried deep inside him, percolating, just waiting to burst.
What happens when he snaps and kills like twenty senators in a blood-thirsty seizure while screaming, "Ad hominem's aren't legitimate arguments!", brought on by the months of holding it in until it explodes?
Also, the people who need to see this are the people who haven't seen it and won't see it because they have already made up their mind about him.

From the youtube comments.
ReliableInsider:
What do you call a battle between one Democrat and 178 Republican Congressmen?
Answer. A fair fight.

Berlusconi - 2010-02-01
Too bad it ended (and began) with a silly speech question.
Also, I hope both sides are embarrassed that it's come to the point of the President agreeing to be the adult in the room during cross-the-aisle chats.
